Student financial assistence

Students regularly enrolled in the program may apply for financial aid to participate in scientific events, courses, or field research. To request financial aid, the following procedure must be followed:

  1. The student must first contact the Program Coordinator via email to request the necessary funds, submitting the completed Financial Aid Request Form..
  2. The Coordinator will inform the student which of the requested resources have been approved (such as daily allowances, ground transportation, airfare, or registration fees).
  3. The student must complete the official PRPPG form at least 30 days before the event, course, or field research begins. The form is available at the following link: financial Aid Request for Students.
  4. Within 20 days after the event, students must submit an Expense Report by completing the Expense Report Form (for Master’s and PhD students), available here: Expense Report.

Important Notes Before Applying:

  • No Reimbursement Allowed: Financial aid requests must be submitted before the event, course, or field research. Reimbursement after the fact is not permitted.

  • Bank Account Information Required: To receive financial aid, students must update their bank account details in SIGAA. The account must be an active checking account, held in the student’s name, and cannot be a salary or savings account.

  • Direct Deposit to Student’s Account: The approved amount will be deposited into the student’s checking account, and the student will be responsible for handling payments for registration fees and purchasing tickets.
