Graduate Program in Physics

Scholarships

  1. Incoming and currently enrolled students in the Graduate Program in Physics (PGF) may apply for scholarships funded by CAPES, FAPEMIG, CNPq, or by UNIFEI’s Institutional Master’s and Doctoral Scholarship Program. Each scholarship is granted for a 12-month period, with the possibility of annual renewal, up to a maximum of 24 months of enrollment in the Master’s program, provided the following conditions are met:
    1. Full dedication to Master’s program activities;
    2. Recommendation from the PGF Scholarship Committee, based on the Semester Evaluation Form;
    3. Enrollment each semester in the Dissertation Plan Follow-up course;
    4. Approval in all coursework and/or academic activities since the scholarship was granted;
    5. Maintenance of the personal conditions that originally allowed for the scholarship award.
  2. After the sixth month of enrollment, the approval and/or continuation of the scholarship requires that the Dissertation Work Plan be approved.
  3. The ranking criteria for scholarship recipients are detailed in the selection process announcements.
  4. International students may apply for scholarships under the conditions established in the selection process announcement. Additionally, they may apply for scholarships through the PEC-PG (Graduate Student Agreement Program), which is exclusively for international students. To do so, they must contact the Brazilian Embassy or Consulate in their home country before traveling to Brazil.
  5. The PGF Scholarship Committee is responsible for the classification and approval of scholarship recipients. The current committee members can be found in Ordinance No. 596, dated April 9, 2024 – PGF Scholarship Committee. .
